Sourced from a vineyard on the sea-side of Caves Road in Wilyabrup ~ 2km from the Indian Ocean. Close planted on loam over ironstone gravel in the mid-80s. Wild fermented in barrels; one 1^st use, two 2^nd use and remainder in old French barriques. Half the barrels were allowed to go through MLF for texture and mouthfeel. Nine months on fine lees added linear quality.

The palate is tight, appley and long.
