From a vineyard on the sea-side of Caves Road, in ‘central’ Wilyabrup, ~ 2km from the Indian Ocean. Close planted on loam over ironstone gravel in the mid 80s. Wild fermented in barrels; one 1st use, two 2nd use and remainder old French barriques. Half the barrels were allowed to go through MLF for texture and mouthfeel. Nine months on fine lees added linear quality.
